• Ravenswood Classroom Partners is seeking new volunteers (inmenlo.com) — With The Primary School in East Palo Alto now closed, over 100 additional students are entering Ravenswood City School District classrooms and need extra academic support. Ravenswood Classroom Partners is urgently recruiting volunteers for one hour a week during the school day, offering training and classroom placement so East Palo Alto–area residents can directly help local TK–5 students adjust and thrive this year.
• Neighbors rally to assist East Palo Alto senior as he fights eviction (paloaltoonline.com) — An East Palo Alto senior living on East O'Keefe Street is fighting a fast-moving eviction that could displace him after nearly 20 years in his apartment, despite recent rent-relief victories for tenants. Neighbors, tenant organizers, and local officials are rallying to help him clean his home, seek disability accommodations, and push the landlord for more time as the neighborhood faces major redevelopment pressures.
