• Police: Hand grenade found at Cooley Landing in East Palo Alto (paloaltoonline.com) — An area of Cooley Landing in East Palo Alto has been closed while police and a bomb squad handle a suspected hand grenade found near the water Sunday afternoon. Officers urge residents never to touch suspicious or potentially explosive objects, but instead leave the area and immediately call emergency services so trained crews can respond safely.
