This month it’s our second full Celebration at our new venue! Come at the new early time 10:30 to hear a one-off lively music presentation by our hosts, then get right into our "Live better, help often, wonder more" style. 
The main speaker this time will be Maker Faire Founder Dale Dougherty. He’ll share how, in 2006, he put into practice "If you imagine it, you can make it" to make a huge event beloved in the Bay Area and beyond for the past two decades. Now there’s more than 200 licensed Maker Faires in more than 40 countries. SAEB President and Maker Faire Crew alumna Michelle Hlubinka will engage Dale in a conversation about some of the key players who made the event—and a whole movement—happen!
We applaud the freethinking approach of our hosts at their Hall of the Berkeley Fellowship of Unitarian Universalists, at our NEW ADDRESS- 1924 Cedar Street. Berkeley, CA 94709. BFUU is in a Berkeley residential parking zone “E”, so there is no time restriction on Saturday and Sunday. Wheelchair access is by ramp on the Bonita Ave. corner

Experience an afternoon of unforgettable live music at the historic Mare Island on Officer’s Row (Walnut Avenue). Decked Out at The Quarters brings together Bay Area’s unique and talented acts for a one-day-only music extravaganza you won't want to miss. With over 20 bands rocking genres from jazz and folk to R&amp;B and rock, Decked Out at The Quarters will be pulsing with the sounds of local talent. Beyond the beats, you’ll meet local artists, face painters, delicious bites from lots of great local food vendors, and plenty of cold beverages and more. Bring your crew and your furry friends - this event is about coming together and celebrating community through great music.
Small lawn chairs, lawn blankets are welcome.
Bikes and well-behaved family pets are allowed to partake. We will have a secured Bike Parking corral, thanks to our friends at the Napa County Bicycle Coalition.

<table><tbody><tr><td>Through a performance piece featuring theater, poetry, storytelling, and music, Phoenix Song and Monique Miyake share their grief and healing journey after the loss of their seventeen-year-old son to suicide. Experience how they navigated the unimaginable to create this show as an offering&nbsp;of&nbsp;deep love, healing, and a community grief and praise ritual that allows us all to grieve more deeply and come into shared humanity. This performance is for anyone carrying personal or collective loss. It invites us into a shared space of witnessing, where one story can hold the stories of many. As grief is expressed and honored, it can begin to move—within us and between us—opening the possibility of integration, meaning, and renewal. This inspiring and brave story helps us experience the power of grieving together in community and how it leads to deep healing and transformation for everyone.&nbsp;

“When the heart breaks into a million pieces, the only thing left to do is let the light shine in.” A Q&amp;A talkback will follow along with an artist's reception of Monique's original artwork and prints. 10% of sales will be donated to the Trevor Project, the leading suicide prevention and crisis intervention nonprofit organization for LGTBTQ+ young people. 

Monique is a multidisciplinary artist, performer, ritualist, end-of-life doula, hospice RN, and bereaved mother. She holds a Master of Divinity from Harvard University, and is a Reiki master and chaplain trained in Clinical Pastoral Education at UCSF. Monique is a certified Compassionate Bereavement Care Provider and HOPE Mentor through the MISS Foundation.&nbsp;<a target="_blank" href="https://www.moniquemiyake.com/" rel="nofollow noopener">https://www.moniquemiyake.com</a>
