101 Freeway Suicide Jams Traffic In Echo Park
Suicide be beneath a Hollywood (101) Freeway overcrossing forced an hours long lane closure in the Echo Park area Wednesday.

LOS ANGELES, CA — An apparent suicide be beneath a Hollywood (101) Freeway overcrossing in the Echo Park area caused major traffic backups on freeway and surface streets Wednesday morning.
The person died at about 6:30 a.m. near the 500 block of North Bonnie Brae Street, according to the coroner's office. The investigation forced the closure of one northbound freeway lane, clogging traffic into the late morning in the area, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Information was not immediately available on the gender or identity of the person, apparently a transient, the coroner's office reported.
