Brushfire Scorches Elysian Park Hillside

Firefighters made quick work of an early morning brush fire in Elysian Park.

LOS ANGELES, CA — Firefighters Thursday quickly contained a fire that scorched less than an acre of brush on a hillside in the Elysian Park area.

The fire, reported about 5:20 a.m. near the 1800 block of North Baker Street, was contained in about 20 minutes, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire was under investigation.
