Carol Chaikin and Friends Perform at Tapas Tuesday Jazz Nights at El Cid

El
Cid, the venerable bar/restaurant/nightclub, located in Los Angeles’ Silver Lake
Sunset Junction neighborhood, celebrates its 50th year as the
premiere venue for Flamenco Dinner Shows as well as a popular spot for enjoying
Brunch, Tapas on the outdoor Patio, Happy Hour, and well-known Nightclub, has added
a new and exciting vibe to their entertainment lineup with Tapas Tuesday Jazz
Nights with  Carol Chaikin and Friends performing every Tuesday evening from 8 – 11 pm performing original jazz and
standards with a modern twist. “Hard groovin’” saxophonist and flutist Carol
Chaikin teams up with
vocalist/keyboard sensation Sascha Dupont
along with Chris Colangelo on bass and Peter
Buck on drums.

Carol
Chaikin is a Grammy nominated saxophonist and flutist with two CDs as a leader.
Chaikin currently plays in the Johnny Mandel Orchestra and has performed at the
Grammy Awards with Alicia Keys, the BET awards with Sheila E, American Idol,
and was music director for Instrumental Women at the Anson Ford Theatre for
several years. 

There
is no cover charge and no minimum. El Cid offers an extensive tapas menu and
full bar and on Tuesday nights there are $5 tapas and sangria specials. El Cid

Cid continues its tradition with Spanish Flamenco dinner shows on Friday, Saturday
and Sunday evenings. The Sunday Flamenco dinner shows offer authentic Paella
which is specially prepared outdoors on the patio. In addition, El Cid offers Daily
Happy Hour Specials from 4:00 to 8:00 pm, and of course, their eclectic range
of nightlife that includes local live bands, comedy nights, Burlesque shows,
short-film nights, and other intriguing events.
