El Cid, the venerable Spanish-inspired restaurant and live music venue,
located in Los Angeles’ Silver Lake Sunset Junction neighborhood, celebrates 50 years of flamenco with a powerful two-day Flamenco
Festival directed by Ethan Margolis of Arte Y Pureza Flamenco Company. This
cultural experience offers two days of flamenco activities, master classes (accompaniment
class for guitarists – guitarists should bring their guitars - and flamenco arm
and hand movement class), art displays, and three
full flamenco-themed performances each day. Food and Beverages are available
for purchase including home-cooked authentic Andalusian paella, Tinto de Veranos,
sangria and an extensive menu of El Cid tapas.
Confirmed flamenco performances include Yaelisa of Caminos Flamencos, Fanny
Ara, Timo Nuñez, Mizuho Sato, Antonio Triana, Jason McGuire, Adam Del Monte,
Ethan Margolis, Gabriel Osuna, José Cortes, Antonio de Jerez, Briseyda Zarate, the Sir Sultry Quintet, and more.
The USA's most important Flamenco Tablao, El Cid, celebrates
50 Years of Flamenco with a powerful two day festival directed by Ethan
Margolis of Arte Y Pureza Flamenco. There will be three official flamenco
events per day, art displays, home cooked paella, tinto de veranos and sangria.
Festival Attendees are encouraged to bring guitars and be ready to dance sevillanas
and bulerias!
El Cid has a beautiful raised stage with full lighting and sound and one of L.A.'s
finest outdoor patios where Andalusian Festivales de Verano....much like the
Potaje de Utrera or the Gazpacho de Moron will be recreated. Artists and
festival attendees alike will mingle together and enjoy El Cid's ambience for
the first official festival held at the venue!
Tickets are $45 for Saturday, July 27; $55 for Sunday, July 28; $85 for a
two-day pass; two-day VIP Table for four is $400; two-day VIP Booth for five is
$500. Seating is limited as the festival is expected to sell out. VIP Booth and
