continuing its celebration of 50 years of Flamenco dinner shows, presents Flamenco Andalusi for two nights only. El Cid, the venerable Spanish-inspired
restaurant and live music venue, located in Los Angeles’ Silver Lake Sunset
Junction neighborhood brings these
highly exciting performances filled with dynamic rhythms from internationally and
locally recognized artists, featuring special guest artist direct from Spain,
flamenco percussionist Samuel Flores on Cajón, along with renowned
singer Antonio de Jerez, guitarists Antonio Triana and Kai
Narezo, and dancers Manuel Gutierrez and Misuda Cohen.

now open 7 days a week (Monday through Saturday from 4 pm and Sundays at 11 am).
Daily Happy Hours from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm; Flamenco Dinner Shows on Fridays at
7:30 pm and Saturdays at 7:00 pm with Spanish tapas and dinner menu beginning at
6:00 pm and Andalusian Paella
on the Patio with Paella Sunday Suppers and 5:30 pm Flamenco Shows and Tapas
Tuesday Jazz Nights from 8 - 11 pm with no cover charge or minimum and $5 tapas
specials and sangria.
Flamenco
percussionist Samuel Flores comes
from the gypsy flamenco family Los Flores and was raised in Arcos de la Frontera,
a historic pueblo outside Jerez de la Frontera, Andalucía. Born into a legacy
family of flamenco singers, dancers and musicians, Samuel began playing
percussion before his feet even reached the ground sitting on the Cajon. Samuel
began touring as a flamenco artist as a small child with his family, all
dancers and musicians, to huge acclaim in Andalucía and throughout Spain. Samuel
was for many years the percussionist for Ballet Nacional de Espana touring and
performing in the best theaters all over the world. He has accompanied
everyone from Antonio Canales, Merche Esmeralda and Juan Manuel Canizares to Chano
Dominguez, Fernando Romero, Lola Greco, Diego Losada, Belen Lopez, Domingo
Ortega, among others.

Misuda Cohen is a locally based
flamenco dancer known equally for her skill as a bailaora de Flamenco and her
classical training. She has scorched stages all over Los Angeles, the U.S.,
Europe and South America with her artistry and spent several years studying and
working as a professional dancer in Spain alongside many world renowned
artists.
Bailaor Manuel Gutierrez Cabello was introduced
to flamenco at a very young age by his parents having him trained with the
great masters of the discipline. Manuel has performed all over the world with
many renowned artists and his amazing rhythms and exciting footwork are not to
be missed.
