Elysian Park Brush Fire Scorches A Half Acre
Los Angeles firefighters put out a small wildfire near Elysian Park: BREAKING.

ECHO PARK, CA — A small brush was knocked down in the Elysian Park area. The blaze broke out shortly after 12:30 p.m., scorching about half an acre of medium brush, according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart.
The fire broke out near the 600 park of Academy Road, and Los Angeles firefighters had it out in under an hour. No injuries reported. Crews will remain on scene for mop up work and traffic will be impacted for unknown duration of time, according to Stewart.
