The process by which Los Angeles Unified School District is selecting sites to co-locate charter schools is being conducted without any input from schools or school communities. Elysian Heights Elementary is at risk of losing some of its space and resources to a local charter school. On Monday, Jan. 30, we will hold a town-hall style meeting to raise awareness and to inform the Elysian Heights Elementary School (EHES) community and the greater Echo Park community about the LAUSD process of co-location. Come learn about what’s at stake for the students and teachers in your neighborhood.
