Ex-NFL Receiver James Hardy Gets into Fight with LAPD
James Hardy allegedly attacked multiple officers, who used a Taser during the arrest.
Former NFL receiver James Hardy was in custody today following a scuffle with police in the downtown Los Angeles area, authorities said.
Hardy, 28, was involved with an altercation with police who were sent to the 600 block of St. Paul Avenue about 4 p.m. Sunday on a report of a disturbance, said Richard French of the Los Angeles Police Department. At least two officers suffered minor injuries, French said.
Hardy was booked for a felony offense and being held in lieu of $20,000 bail, the sheriff's department reported.

According to the celebrity news website TMZ.com, Hardy was arrested on suspicion of obstruction of justice and taken to a hospital after the confrontation.

Hardy played 14 games for the Buffalo Bills in 2008 and two in 2009, catching 10 passes for 96 yards and scoring two touchdowns.
