Fire Damages Boarded Up Vacant Home In Echo Park

It was reported at 11:34 p.m. Saturday on the 900 block of North Everett Street.

ECHO PARK, CA -- Fire damaged a vacant, boarded up one-story home in Echo Park, authorities said Sunday.

It was reported at 11:34 p.m. Saturday on the 900 block of North Everett Street, according to Amy Bastman of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

No injuries were reported.

When firefighters arrived, the fire was fully involved and it took 44 minutes to put out the flames, Bastman said.

The cause and amount of the loss remains under investigation.
