Fire Engulfs Part of Echo Park Craftsman-Style Home
Flames crawled up the walls of a two-story craftsman-style home in Echo Park Thursday.
LOS ANGELES, CA — A fire Thursday damaged one room of a two-story craftsman-style home in Echo Park, but no one was hurt.
Firefighters dispatched at 4:22 p.m. to 1000 W. Kensington Road had the fire out within 28 minutes, said Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The flames extended up a wall, but crews prevented the fire from spreading into the attic, she said.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
