Firefighters Douse Echo Park Brush Fire

A small brush fire in Echo Park was quickly contained Thursday afternoon.

ECHO PARK, CA -- Los Angeles Firefighters quickly knocked down a brush fire in Echo Park Thursday afternoon.

The fire was reported at about 2:48 p.m. at the 800 block of West Solana Avenue and was knocked down by 3 p.m., according to Ivan Covin of the Los Angeles Fire Department. The blaze, which ate up about three quarters of an acre of light brush, was contained by the first fire fighters on the scene.

There were no injuries reported.
