Firefighters Rescue Dogs from Echo Park Fourplex Fire

Three pups are alive today, thanks to the efforts of Los Angeles firefighters who pulled them from a burning building.

A fire damaged a fourplex in Echo Park today, but no one was hurt.

The fire was reported at 10:26 a.m. in the 1100 block of West Sunset Boulevard, and was extinguished in about 15 minutes, according to Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Firefighters brought three dogs out of the building, and “all three are well,” Stewart said.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
