Mayor Eric Garcetti to Train This Weekend with the U.S. Navy Reserve
He will spend the next two days at a Naval center in Bell.

Mayor Eric Garcetti will be in the city of Bell this weekend, training with the U.S. Navy Reserve.
Garcetti is an intelligence officer in the U.S. Navy Reserve. He enlisted in 2005 and his rank is lieutenant.
Garcetti will be in contact with his mayoral office, as well as the police and fire departments, during the daytime training sessions on Saturday and Sunday at the Navy Operational Support Center in Bell, according to his spokesman Yusef Robb.
Garcetti spends an average 40 days a year on duty with the U.S. Navy Reserve, Robb said. The mayor said he would be interested in continuing his stint with the Navy Reserve beyond the required eight year commitment, which concludes later this year.
