No Homes Were Impacted in Silver Lake Dirt Slide

A small amount of dirt slid near a construction site in the Silver Lake area Friday, but no homes were affected, authorities said.

Firefighters were sent to the 1400 block of North Occidental Boulevard shortly after 8 a.m., said Erik Scott of the Los Angeles Fire Department. No one was hurt.

It was unclear what caused the slide, described as a "debris flow," Scott said.
