ATWATER VILLAGE, CA — A pipeline "leak" cut water service to 20 Atwater Village homes and businesses today and flooded a section of Silver Lake Boulevard, authorities said.

Firefighters responded just before 2 p.m. to reports of street flooding near 3256 Perlita Avenue from an apparent waterline break, according to Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

No formal evacuations were issued, but at least one home was threatened and all lanes of Silver Lake Boulevard between Atwater and Perlita Avenues were closed, Humphrey said.
