Police Hunt For 3 Shooting Suspects In Echo Park Neighborhood
A shooting in the Westlake District led to a vehicle chase, where three suspects then fled on foot in Echo Park Tuesday.
LOS ANGELES, CA — A man was shot in Westlake Tuesday and three men suspected in the shooting led police in a chase to Echo Park, where they fled on foot. Police set up a perimeter in Echo Park and eventually caught the three suspects.
A man in his 30s was shot in the area of Witmer and Third streets in the Westlake District shortly after 3 p.m., according to the Los Angeles Police Department. An officer who was in the area at the time chased three suspects in a white vehicle.
Police chased the suspects to the Echo Park area, where three suspects abandoned their vehicle and fled on foot. A perimeter was set up in the area of Temple Street and Glendale Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

All three suspects were eventually taken into custody, LAPD Officer Drake Madison said.
The shooting victim was taken to a hospital, but an update on his condition was not immediately available, police said.
