Police Seek Help Solving Murder of 19-Year-Old Killed in Silver Lake

The Los Angeles Police Department’s homicide detectives are asking for help solving the murder of a 19-year-old man killed in Silver Lake Sunday.

At 10:15 Sunday, police responded to reports of shots fired in the 1300 block of Allesandro Street. They found Oscar Sandoval Jr. slumped behind the wheel of a Nissan Xterra, suffering from a gunshot wound.

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded and pronounced Sandoval Jr. dead at scene.

Detectives believe the motive for the shooting was gang related.
