Professional Development for Los Angeles Teachers

Echo Parenting & Education envisions a world of nonviolence in which adults respect children by ensuring their right to emotional and physical safety. We teach parents, teachers and others who strongly influence children’s lives an approach that integrates current research in human development with the practice of nonviolence.

Echo Parenting & Education is holding a workshop in Los Angeles titled "Classroom Management Through Compassion and Connection".  This will be a great opportunity for teachers and staff to come together to learn strategies and tools that will help enhance the classroom experience for teachers and students.

Topics to be covered include:

- Brain development

- How to navigate anger and support children who have experienced trauma

- Creating quality connections between teachers and students

Documentation of PD hours and/or salary points for LAUSD teachers will be available as well.
