UPDATED: 2 Safe in Tree, Awaiting Collection by Emergency Crews
Firefighters were trying to rescue three people and a dog.

Two people were secure in place in a tree and were awaiting swift water resources for rescue along the Los Angeles River near Elysian Valley, Park, said Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Firefighters are attempting to rescue two victims and a dog stuck in a tree along the Los Angeles River on Shoredale Avenue.
According to LAFD, a third victim was spotted in a separate location.
