Two Pedestrians Killed in Grisly Crash Near Echo Park
Three pedestrians were struck, two were killed instantly, and two passengers had to be cut from the wreckage of a crash near Sunset Blvd.

ECHO PARK, CA - Two women pedestrians were killed as a car hit three people Sunday near Echo Park, firefighters said.
Additionally, two people in the car needed to be cut out of the mangled wreck and rushed to hospitals with critical injuries, according to Erik Scott of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The crash, at 9:21 a.m., also resulted in a sheared-off a fire hydrant and geyser in the 1000 block of Rosemont Avenue.

That location is near Marathon Street, about four blocks west of Echo Park and one block south of Sunset Boulevard.
Police had no immediate information.
