USC Student Dies in Apparent Drug Overdose
Homicide detectives were called to investigate the death of a student.

LOS ANGELES, CA A USC student was found dead today from an apparent drug overdose, authorities said.
The student was found dead about 2:25 p.m. in an apartment in the 30th Street Court Apartments, near 30th and Figueroa streets, according to the Los Angeles Police Department and USC Public Safety Department.
The name of the student was withheld pending notification of next of kin. The person's age and gender were not immediately available.

The death investigation was being handled by homicide detectives from the LAPD's Southwest Division, according to Sgt. Carlton Brown.
