Woman Found Shot to Death Near Silver Lake

LOS ANGELES, CA- A woman was found fatally shot today west of the Silver Lake area, police said.

Officers sent to the 500 block of North Virgil Avenue shortly after 6 a.m. on a report of a shooting found the woman dead, Los Angeles police Officer Liliana Preciado said.

Authorities withheld the name of the victim, who was in her 30s, pending notification of kin.

There have been no arrests, police said.
