• Man and Dog Found Dead After El Cajon House Fire (santeepulse.com) — A deadly early-morning house fire on Melody Lane in El Cajon left one man and his dog dead, despite a rapid multi-agency response. Fire crews entered in rescue mode after reports someone was inside and knocked down the blaze within minutes. Investigators say the fire appears to have started near a bedroom, and the exact cause is still under investigation.
