• New Substance Use Treatment Center Will Expand Care in South Bay (countynewscenter.com) — El Cajon residents are part of a broader county push to expand behavioral health care, including a recently added Crisis Stabilization Unit in town. County officials just opened a new $29 million substance use treatment and recuperative care center in National City, adding 89 Medi‑Cal beds and strengthening a regional continuum that also includes upcoming facilities in Santee and Kearny Mesa.
