Barks and Bells: Mark Your Calendar For El Cerrito Event

Protect your home! Adopt a dog, or learn about burglar alarms or video systems.

EL CERRITO, CA — The El Cerrito Police Department's 2nd Annual Barks and Bells Burglary Prevention Expo will be held on Saturday, May 13. The event includes dog adoptions and burglary prevention information.

An odd combination? According to the police department, dog ownership is a proven method of deterring burglars. When given a chance to burglarize a home at random, burglars are much more likely to target a home that does not have a dog rather than a home that does have a dog.

The location is 1000 El Cerrito Plaza, starting at 10 a.m.
