Contra Costa College Hosts 'Super Saturday' for Prospective Students
Community invited to learn more about the local community college's programs

On Saturday, Contra Costa College is hosting its fourth annual Super Saturday to provide community members with an opportunity to talk with current students, staff and faculty about attending the college.
"Super Saturday is for anyone who is thinking about what's next in their lives. Whether you're a new high school graduate, looking to change careers or simply want to increase your current job skills, Contra Costa College offers affordable, high-quality education in a supportive setting," said college President Mojdeh Mehdizadeh. "And, we're thrilled that, thanks to the community's support of various bond measures, the setting includes three new modern buildings including a three story state-of-the art classroom building, and numerous student activity, study and dining spaces that will open in fall 2016."
At the event, representatives from a variety of academic programs including culinary arts, computer and related electronics, and public safety will be available to answer questions about required courses and career opportunities. Workshops for students and parents (with Spanish translation available) will cover topics such as how to choose a major, financial aid options, as well as services for veterans and students with disabilities. Guided tours of the campus will also be available.
