Early Morning Crash Closed Onramp on Westbound I-80
Crews at the scene worked to clear the overturned big-rig near Carlson Boulevard.

Update:
An Interstate Highway 80 onramp closure in Richmond that was
prompted by a big-rig crash early this morning has still not been lifted, according to the California Highway Patrol. The Highway 80 westbound onramp at Carlson Boulevard was closed after a big-rig overturned, according to the CHP.

The crash was reported just before 1 a.m. CHP issued a travel advisory around 2:36 a.m., and initially expected the onramp to remain closed until around 7:30 a.m. or even until 1 p.m. They now estimate the on-ramp will reopen at around 10:30 a.m. Crews had to work to upright the vehicle and remove wreckage, according to the CHP.

The California Highway Patrol reported the closure of the Interstate Highway 80 westbound onramp at Carlson Boulevard in Richmond due to a crash involving an overturned big-rig. The onramp was expected to remain closed until around 7:30 a.m.
Crews are at the scene working to remove the wreckage. The crash was first reported just before 1 a.m. The CHP issued a travel advisory around 2:36 a.m.
