El Cerrito Police ID Shooting Suspect
The 28-year-old from Vallejo was arrested in connection with the Tuesday Dylans Way shooting.

EL CERRITO, CA -- El Cerrito police have identified a Vallejo man who was arrested in connection with a shooting early Tuesday morning.
Orlando Cervantes, 28, was arrested of suspicion of shooting a person several times shortly before 2:30 a.m. Tuesday in a home on Dylans Way in El Cerrito, according to police.
The victim was immediately taken to a nearby trauma center for treatment and was in stable condition, police said on Wednesday.

Cervantes was later identified as a suspect and was arrested in Vallejo. Police allege a firearm possibly used in the shooting was found in a hotel room with which he was associated.
Investigators determined the shooting transpired several weeks after a disagreement between the victim and Cervantes, police said.

Cervantes is being held at Martinez Detention Facility on $1 million bail.
