Beverly Allen, PhD is an author, lecturer and teacher in the humanities and spiritual traditions. She has taught at University of CA at Santa Cruz, Stanford University, Cornell University, the University of Zagreb, and Syracuse University where she is a Professor Emerita. As an investigative journalist and activist in Bosnia and Croatia for 10 years, her book Rape Warfare influenced the creation of a new international law making rape a crime against humanity. She now lives in Berkeley where she writes, teaches and lectures.
Frank Ferrante is an avid reader, seeker of God, weight gain/weight loss aficionado, ex-pot smoker, alcoholic, junkie, speed freak, raw foodist, vegan, lover, hater, father, husband, grad student, good guy, bad guy, and social activist. At 54 years old, he went through a physical, mental and spiritual transformation, which is chronicled in his book, May I Be Frank? How I Changed My Ways, Lost 100 Pounds, and Found Love Again. He's now a writer, lecturer and life coach.
Beverly and Frank will hold a conversation about the subect of transformation. "Transformation: Not for the Faint of Heart."
