Multiple Morning BART Delays: Report Of Man Walking On Tracks In El Cerrito

Also delays logged on the Fremont line.

EL CERRITO, CA - East Bay commuters may have experienced some delays this morning caused by a search for a man who was reportedly walking on BART tracks in El Cerrito, according to BART police.

A call came in at 8:54 a.m. about a person walking on the tracks north of the El Cerrito del Norte Station, BART police said. BART police officers were immediately dispatched, but no one was found in the area.

The police activity was cleared shortly after 9 a.m.

BART is recovering from a 10-minute delay at the station in the Fremont, Richmond and Millbrae directions caused by the incident, BART officials wrote on Twitter at 9:12 a.m.
