Activists say privacy is at risk, while officials track removal progress, weigh fines, and even consider temporarily covering lenses as the company now promises to finish work by week's end.
   

• Richmond man arrested after fire kills father, 5-year-old nephew (grandviewindependent.com) — A deadly arson fire in Richmond killed a man and his 5-year-old grandson and critically injured two more relatives, with Richmond police arresting a family member on suspicion of murder and arson. El Cerrito firefighters helped battle the second blaze, which drew a third-alarm response and about 35 firefighters as investigators worked to confirm there's no broader threat to nearby communities.
