San Pablo Avenue Specific Plan: Sound Off

EL CERRITO, CA — The community is invited to attend a special workshop on the San Pablo Avenue Specific Plan at 7 p.m. Monday in the council chamber at El Cerrito City Hall, 10890 San Pablo Ave.

The plan, adopted in 2014, has been the catalyst for new development and transportation improvements along the city's main commercial corridor by allowing a streamlined approval process and relaxed requirements for denser projects.

The city is now updating components of the plan and is holding the workshop for city advisory panels.

Components that will be discussed include housing, retail/economic development, open space, public art, parking, and pedestrian and bicycling improvements.
