Volunteer Training for Cash for College Nights

Thursday, September 22, 2016

Applications for the Free Applications for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the CA Dream Act Application are being accepted for the first time this year starting October 1st. The Ed Fund is coordinating a FAFSA and CA Dream Act Application training to ensure we have enough volunteers to help all students in WCCUSD complete their financial aid applications to be eligible for aid at free Cash for College Nights held October through January.

The East Bay Consortium will be leading this line-by-line training that is open to novice volunteers as well as those experienced with helping students with financial aid. The training will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2016 from 4:00-7:00pm in the multipurpose room at Alvarado Adult School Multipurpose Room at 5625 Sutter Avenue in Richmond. Please register by September 19 at http://edfundwest.org/financial-aid-training/.

For more information, please contact Ed Fund College Access Manager Veli Waller at 510-233-1464 ext. 105 or at veli@edfundwest.org.
