• Brothers-in-Law Indicted for Bank Takeover Scheme and Aggravated Identity Theft (fbi.gov) — A man from Elk Grove has been indicted alongside his brother-in-law from Sacramento in a 17-count federal case alleging bank fraud and aggravated identity theft against two elderly victims. Prosecutors say the pair drained accounts of more than $794,000 using sophisticated takeover tactics, while emphasizing that both remain presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
