• Driver gets 188 years to life in prison for Sacramento Delta crash that killed 5 (sacbee.com) — A drunk driver who led officers on a chaotic pursuit into Elk Grove after a deadly 2023 crash on Highway 160 has been sentenced to 188 years to life in prison. The chase ended near Elk Grove Boulevard and Fire Poppy Drive, alarming nearby neighborhoods as dozens of patrol cars and a helicopter converged. All five passengers killed in the crash were Sacramento residents.
