Road Rage Leads to Woman Being Dragged by Car
Suspect reportedly repeatedly struck woman seated in her minivan with her three children.

A woman was dragged by a car Tuesday morning in Elk Grove after an apparent hasty driving move led to a violent case of road rage, according to police.
Elk Grove resident Trinh Hong, 39, was driving her minvan southbound on Bellaterra Drive just before 9 a.m. when she reportedly cut off nearby driver and Elk Grove resident Jonique Green, 29, according to the Elk Grove’s police department police log.
When stopped at Terrazzo Drive, Green reportedly “immediately exited” her car, approached and struck seated Hong repeatedly, the report states. The assault occurred with Hong’s three children in the car, said Officer Chris Trim, police department spokesman.

Green then reportedly took Hong’s cell phone. That’s when Hong tried to get her cell phone back and was dragged about 10 feet by Green’s car, the report recounts.
After driving away and throwing Hong’s cell phone out of the car, Green returned to the scene and was arrested on suspicion of robbery and battery, said Trim.Trim advised anyone who is a victim of road rage immediately lock their doors and windows and to call 911.
He also recommends taking pictures or video with a smart phone, “that way from an investigators standpoint we have something to follow up on,” he said.
