City Of Encinitas Parks, Recreation And Cultural Arts Department Program And Facility News In Response To Coronavirus
City programs and events will be postponed, cancelled, or modified in accordance with county health orders and recommendations.

In consideration of the health of its customers, the City of Encinitas Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts Department is actively taking steps to control the spread of the Coronavirus while still providing services to the community.

As a result, most City programs and events will be postponed, cancelled, or modified in accordance with county health orders and recommendations.
Beginning Saturday, March 14, all City of Encinitas Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts events, classes and programs will be cancelled until the end of March 2020. Additionally, the Encinitas Community and Senior Center will be closed through the end of March. The City Hall Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts Department office, located at 505 S. Vulcan Avenue, Encinitas will remain open during normal office hours.

The Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts Department will update plans as needed based on additional direction from public health officials. Additional emails will be sent with news and updates. Visit the city website at www.EncinitasCA.gov for related news and information.
Programs and Services Affected
- Parks & recreation programs, classes and leagues
- Senior Center programs, classes and events
- Cultural arts programs
- Community and Senior Center drop-in activities
- Community Center rentals and facility use
Program participants in fee-based programs will receive a refund for missed classes.
Senior Service Programs
Senior nutrition meals will still be offered on a pick-up or delivery basis. For more information contact the Senior Nutrition office at 760-943-2258.

- March 13 - Music by the Sea Concert at the Encinitas Library has been cancelled
- March 18 - Wednesday @ Noon concert at the Encinitas Library has been cancelled
- March 20 - Senior Dance at the Encinitas Senior Center has been cancelled
- March 21 - Surfrider Foundation Moonlight Beach Clean Up has been cancelled
- March 25 - Wednesday @ Noon concert at the Encinitas Library has been cancelled
- March 29 - Encinitas Half Marathon has been rescheduled for March 2021
