Donate Blood: Blood Drive Slated At SDCCU Branch In Encinitas

ENCINITAS, CA — San Diego County Credit Union is hosting blood drives Tuesday at five locations in San Diego County, including in Encinitas.

The blood drives are in support of the San Diego Blood Bank, which SDCCU has supported for nearly 20 years.

"Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there is currently an extremely low inventory of blood, hospital shelves are almost empty, and this short supply is affecting thousands of patients," a news release from the financial institution said. "The community is encouraged to help – lives depend on it!"

The blood drives in the county are scheduled from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the parking lots at the following locations:

• SDCCU Eastlake Branch: 2280 Otay Lakes Road, Chua Vista
• SDCCU Encinitas Branch: 501 North El Camino Real, Encinitas
• SDCCU Santee Branch: 286 Town Center Parkway, Santee
• SDCCU Solana Beach Branch: 677 Lomas Santa Fe, Solana Beach
• SDCCU Sports Arena Branch: 3455 Sports Arena Blvd., San Diego
