ENCINITAS, CA — A magnitude 3.1 earthquake struck Wednesday night off the coast of San Diego's North County.
The quake was recorded at 7:36 p.m. about 16 miles west-southwest of Encinitas, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
People reported feeling the quake in Encinitas, Carlsbad, Oceanside, Escondido and San Marcos, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
