Encinitas To Recognize Outstanding Citizens, Community Organizations

The city is currently accepting award nominations to honor outstanding citizens and community organizations that serve the city.

ENCINITAS, CA – Do you know someone who has gone above and beyond the call of duty in service to the community?

The city of Encinitas is currently accepting nominations to recognize outstanding citizens and community organizations that serve the city. Each year, the city’s Youth Commission, Senior Citizen Commission, and Parks and Recreation Commission give out awards for Youth of the Year, Senior Citizen of the Year and Service to Seniors, and Outstanding Parks and Recreation Volunteer of the Year.

Award nominees must reside within the city of Encinitas. Nomination criteria and forms are available on the city’s website at EncinitasCa.gov/Recognition or by calling 760-633-2740. The deadline to submit nominations is 6 p.m. March 1, 2017.
