Encinitas resident Fred Schneider turns 103-years

Belmont Village Senior Living Cardiff hosted Fred's birthday party surrounded by his favorite things

Belmont Village resident, Fred Schneider celebrated his 103-year-old birthday with a party surrounded by his favorite things, including a ride in a 1927 Ford Model T. Schneider was born on February 28, 1915 in Detroit, Kansas. He moved to California in 1936, and worked for Farmer’s Brothers Coffee where he stayed until his retirement forty-three-years later as plant manager. Schneider has been active in the Encinitas community since 1979, and is an active member of Ranch View Baptist Church. When asked about his secret to life, he quickly responds, “we love, we care, we share with God’s love”. The party, hosted by Belmont Village included his son Doug who flew from Phoenix along with fellow residents, church friends, family and staff listening to music by Cowboy Jack and watching dancers from Arthur Murray Solana Beach studio perform the jitterbug.
