Encinitas Resident Teaches SDSU Business of Writing Course
SDSU's College of Extended Studies offers a series of three half-day workshops in its Business Writing for Success program.

Encinitas resident and published author Anne Bromley is a writing instructor and consultant who will share her secrets as the instructor for a new SDSU College of Extended Studies workshop writing program
The three half-day workshops are offered in its Business Writing for Success program -- designed for professionals who would like to hone their writing skills
“What’s happening now is that more and more people are being called into management positions and forced to write,” Bromley said.

“They get kicked upstairs and realize they are not very good communicators in writing. It has caused a lot of problems in the workplace. We’ve had so many issues where people need help.”
Whether it’s right or wrong, words at work reflect education, skill level, and the degree of professionalism.

“I enrolled in the Business Writing course during my last spring break of college because I felt I wasn’t being taken as seriously as I wanted to,” said former student Austin Farmer.
“I am a writer, and I felt I was lacking the necessary skills to pitch ideas to agents and editors.
After taking the Business Writing class, I am now confident I can progress in my career.
The class schedule is as follows:
The Five Essential Steps, Thursday, Oct. 2, 8:30 a.m.-12 pm
Editing and Proofreading, Thursday, Oct. 9, 8:30 a.m.-12 pm
Polishing Your Grammar Skills, Thursday, Oct. 16, 8:30 a.m.-12 pm
