Encinitas Residents: Get Free Sandbags On Saturday
A total of 1,500 sandbags will be available to Encinitas residents on a first come, first serve basis at the city's Sandbag Giveaway Event.

ENCINITAS, CA – The rainy season isn't over yet, so be prepared when the next storm hits by picking up free sandbags Saturday at the Public Works facility in Encinitas.
A total of 1,500 sandbags will be available to Encinitas residents on a first come, first serve basis at the city's Sandbag Giveaway Event. Residents must provide photo identification and show proof of residency to pick up 10 pre-filled sandbags for each property while supplies last from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Public Works facility at 160 Calle Magdalena, Encinitas.
Sandbags will no longer be offered daily at the Public Works facility, but they may also be purchased at local vendors. The city encourages residents to call vendors directly for the latest information on availability and pricing.
