Encinitas: Road Improvements And Lane Closures On Highway 101

The City of Encinitas is improving the existing bike lane on South Highway 101 by adding a buffer. To accomplish this there will be roadwork on South Coast Highway 101 from Chesterfield Drive through South Cardiff State Beach this weekend from Friday 4/24 through Monday 4/27. As a result, this work will require the closure of one lane in each direction with bicycles sharing the lane with cars. Bus schedules will be intermittently impacted during construction. If possible, please avoid this area and choose an alternate route during hours of road work which are 6am - 5pm on Friday the 24th, Saturday the 25th, and Monday the 27th. Thank you for your patience as we work to provide these road improvements.
