This means that restaurants can once again service customers but only for outdoor dining and for take-out. Indoor dining is not allowed. Barber shops and beauty salons may operate using the safe guidelines that were established when San Diego County was previously in the Purple Tier. Visit the State of California website for information specific to each business type to better understand how a business can operate within the Purple Tier.

Cease and Desist Orders that have been issued to businesses found by the County to be in violation of the Public Health Order, will not be rescinded based on today’s announcement. Those businesses will continue to be monitored by the County Safe Compliance Reopening Team and will be allowed to operate to the extent allowable within the Purple Tier. Additional information is available on San Diego County’s COVID-19 website on the Safe Reopening page.
