The San Dieguito Heritage Museum will celebrate local heritage by hosting its annual BBQ at the Museum site.
This year the 24th annual BBQ weekend celebrates the contributions of Richard and Adeline Bumann to the heritage of the San Dieguito area. They are the recipients of the “Living Heritage Award” for their work in preserving the Bumann Ranch. This year’s BBQ is also special as it is a return to the Deep Pit BBQ. For 20 years, the San Dieguito Heritage Museum’s BBQ was cooked in the ground according to tradition. Cooking BBQ in a deep pit makes the tastiest BBQ.
