'Fairest Of The Fair' Farm Animals: Photos Of The Day

ENCINITAS, CA — The San Diego County Fair is open and honoring community heroes this year. Patch reader and Encinitas resident Katy Brown submitted some of her "Fairest of the Fair" photos that picture "some of the cuddly blue ribbon contenders at the fair."

"Encinitas is rich with families of adorable farm animals, raised as pets or rescues, who love to show off and win your approval" Brown said. "They're loving, affectionate, sometimes naughty but nonetheless worthy community heroes who lift our spirits especially when times are tough."
